‘s Terner Schmelzpfandl

Val Pusteria cereals, cuisine and culture

Terento has always been called the granary of Val Pusteria. Situated along the Val Pusteria “sun road”, it has always been very fertile. Farmers used to grow cereals and other arable crops here. In Val di Terento the grains were ground into flour in the water-powered flour mills and used on the farms to create tasty dishes.

The aim of the series of events at the ‘s Terner Schmelzpfandl is to preserve this tradition and to enable locals and visitors an authentic and genuine insight into rural culture.
